[comp.sys.mac.hardware] Apple CD-ROM works on Audio disks, but not with Data

My Apple CD-ROM drive recently started failing to recognize
data disks (like ETO #2) It still plays music disks fine.

Any ideas what could be wrong. Hardware or Software?
I doesn't read some CD's that it used to read, so I
don't think it's a matter of a bad CD.
