We are using the Whitesmith's C compiler and have been for several
years (RSX, RT, and recently VMS). There are a few ways in which it
is pickier than the compiler on Unix but mostly it's pretty solid.
I would be interested in hearing about other people's complaints
about it.
I have heard that DEC's C, to be available with VMS 3.0 will cost
$7500.
