[comp.sys.mac.hardware] Request advice: fax modems

I am about to purchase a faxmodem to accompany an LC and HP SCANJET II with
sheet feeder.
1) Does anyone know of fax software/hardware which would spool incoming
   faxes directly to the laserwriter?
2) Does anyone love/hate their dovefax,prometheus or abaton software/hardware?

thanks

I'VE HAD THE DOVEFAX FOR ABOUT A MONTH PURCHASED DIRECTLY FROM DOVE.
THEY SEEM EXTREMELY DISORGANISED.
THE TINY TRANSFORMER SEEMS TO QUIT AFTER ABOUT 6 HOURS. DOVE OFFERED TO REPLACE
IT BUT I DON'T TRUST I. I BOUGHT MY OWN AT THE DRUG STORE.
I STILL LIKE THE PRODUCT THOUGH,ESPECIALLY WITH THE VOICE MAIL UPGRADE
AVAIL{BLE SOON.

BTW, printing faxes is ridiculously slow even on DoveFax.
It takes maybe 90 seconds to print a fax page from my IIci
to my II NT. Someday they will put fax decompression
hardware in printers, and maybe speed up the communication
to the printer. Maybe later this year
