We have used 9 chip SIMMs for Mac upgrades - because they are cheaper- and have not found any complications. So I ask: should I expect any? As I understand Mac just ignores the 9th chip. Any comments from technically qualified people as I am not. I have upgraded dozens of Mac pluses though... Toughest part is disconnecting the cables from the logic board but I used a long screwdriver as a lever. I have also heard conflicting advice about checking the voltage: how much and from which pin?
