[comp.sys.mac.hardware] Laserwriter Cable

John.Arnold@f421.n109.z1.fidonet.org (John Arnold) (02/10/91)

I need to connect an Apple Laserwriter Plus to a Macplus and I would
like to know how to do this without using Apletalk (Localtalk)
connector boxes. I understand that on of the Apple standard cables
will work. Can someone tell me which cable or what the connections would
be to make such a cable.
Thanks!
John

The standard ImageWriter cable works just fine (beware tho that extended
length cables might not work because of the high bandwidth of the
transmission). I've used the IW cable with a HP LaserJet III with no
problems whatsoever.
