I have an old mac 512 which I wanted to uprgrade to a plus before apple axed the plus. Now, after considering a classic (not fast enough for the money) and a IIsi (fast enough, but also to expensive for a poor student such as myself), I have decided to upgrade with a gemini 030 daughter board running at 20MHZ. But, before I do, I have some questions regarding compatablility with newer macs: First: should I upgrade to 128K ROMs and an 800K internal floppy before buying the 030 daughter board? will there be very many compatability problems with newer macs (and newer software) if I don't? Second: Has anyone out there is cyberspace (ooooo- subtext!) had any experience with the company who makes the gemini (I forgot thier name)? Is it a reliable product? The main reason for choosing the gemini was that it had high speed SCSI as well as the ability to expand memory to up to 4MB (which I would do imediately), and an option to add a 2-page monitor. If anyone knows of another board which has similar options, please post. Thanks for the information in advance. Mike
