[comp.sys.mac.hardware] Mac LC and PowerKEY

hzink@alchemy.UUCP (Harry K. Zink) (02/15/91)

Actually, the powerkey is specifically made for computers that DO NOT have the
nifty power up/power down feature of the Mac II line. What it does is offer
you precisely these features for your 'normal' Mac.

I am, in fact, getting one, as soon as my Mac LC appears on my doorstep (does
anyone know, by the way, what the waiting time for LCs currently is?)

Regarding LC waiting time, typical 1 month. I recommend
you shop mail order and make sure they have them in stock.
The local BusinessLands and Mr. Micros, etc., tend to be
sold out just about everywhere (in Dallas). Most of
the mail order houses had none, some 1 or 2, and others
a bit more. That's the take on availability about 1
month ago. I LOVE MY LC! Outstanding machine, incredible
price. Enjoy! rep
