We need to replace the fuser assembly (the white and orange rollers) on our Laserwriter Plus. I understand this to be a fairly common repair. Does anybody know of a good place to have this fixed? Thanks Joe Pickert archetyp@uxh.cso.uiuc.edu

I just replaced a fuser assembly on a laserwriter (not plus). It's not a trivial job, particularly if you have no directions. You can buy a replacement fuser assembly from Shreve Systems in Shreveport, LA (318) 635-1121. -Owen Owen Hartnett omh@cs.brown.edu.CSNET Brown University Computer Science omh@cs.brown.edu uunet!brunix!omh "Don't wait up for me tonight because I won't be home for a month."

Could you tell me the symptoms that lead you to believe that the fuser needed to be replaced?? I have a LaserWriter IINTX that is producing output that looks as if it has been smeared with a wet paper towel, all jagged and unreadable...etc... Generally, all of our printers are well cared for in terms of cleaning off excess toner. Can someone please let me know what is wrong? -- Timothy A.
