I have an internal 70mb Rodime drive which is not booting properly. It makes clicking noises instead of the unparking sound I usually hear, and after five tries stops, so I assume it has a problem with moving the heads and not that it has crashed. It is from Jasmine--their software sees a device on the SCSI bus at its address but does not recognize it. I'd like to hear what you may know about this sort of situation. Is my best bet just to send it back to Jasmine for fixing? Is it the sort of problem that _can_ be fixed (I'm not happy about losing all that data). Is Jasmine the best place to send it to, or would any shop do? Thanks much for any advice/suggestions/comments...
