Hello. I'd appreciate no answers from people who are "speculative," for I'm only looking for a response from someone who is authorized to do work on RGB monitors, Trinitron TV's, etc. Here's my problem: My monitor has a slightly unbalanced screen; because of this (it tilts a bit too much to the right (downward), I'm unable to attain a good convergence on either the horizontal or vertical axis. I took my trusty phillips screwdriver to the case (after all was shut off), and was startled by a pretty mean shock -- one that I'd get, say, if I were just using the monitor, and would try lifting it, even. I'm afraid to open it up, but am fairly broke. Therefore: What is the safest way to fix this problem on my own? Are there books I can pick up on the matter? I don't care about warranty, etc. -- this isn't any longer under warranty. Also, I know how dealers work -- I have no desire to be ripped off. I've worked for Apple for 2 years back home, but am now at school. I was never Level I Certified because of a lack of class seats, yet I've performed "the usual" on classic Macs, so I know of the problems w/ high-voltage, etc. If someone knows what pot on the inside to turn... (or knows NOT to f*** with what's inside), please send me email at: klingspo@holst.cs.colostate.edu Thanks much, Steve
