Sandia supports SPICE (the circuit analysis program) on both the DEC-20
and the VAX. The VAX version is available in the file DIST:SPICE.ASC
at Sandia, which can be FTP'd with ANONYMOUS login. The file is an
ASCII-ized VMS BACKUP SAVE-SET. To use the files do the following:
1) get the file DIST:ASC2BIN.MAR from SANDIA. Compile and link it.
(You may also be interested in BIN2ASC.MAR which produced the ASCII-ized
file).
2) get DIST:SPICE.ASC from SANDIA.
3) run SPICE.ASC thru ASC2BIN producing SPICE.BAK
4) run BACKUP on the VAX to restore the files from the save-set SPICE.BAK.
