I recently got a used Apple 8 bit video card, and I noticed that our computing center was offering upgrades that would take an Apple 8 bit video card to an 8*24 card. Is this true? Can you really upgrade a 4*8 to an 8*24 card? If it is true, are the upgrade kits available via mail order, or are they only available via mail order? After taking a look at the card, it looks like all that can be done is popping out about 6-8 memory chips, and replacing them with better ones. John Feinberg SUNY Buffalo

Is this upgrade available for *only* the "new" Apple 8-bit video card? (I have a two-year old Apple 4/8 video card that I *assume* can *not* be upgraded to 24-bit (short of selling it and buying a new one!).) -jwh -- John Hardin MCC CAD Program AT&T: 512/338-3535 3500 W.
