[comp.sys.mac.hardware] memory upgrades and heat

Does anyone know whether it is safe to upgrade a mac+ to 2.5 megs without
intalling a fan? Is there any noticeable heat build-up without one?

I would like to know too. I installed 4MB into my Mac Plus last March and it's still running fine. I've had the Plus for over three years now. Am I just lucky or is my Mac going to explode tomorrow?
