I'm interested in upgrading a Mac Classic now used only for word processing so that it can run some heavy-duty music publishing software. (Finale?) In the March '91 MacUser there's a product called the RailGun '030' Accelerator being sold by MacProducts USA. Has anyone heard about this? 16 MhZ 030 for Plus, SE, Classic - $499 (sounds like a good deal) 25 MhZ 030 for Plus, SE, Classic - $799 33 MhZ 030 for Plus, Classic - $1199 Are there any competing Classic accelerators? In particular I'm concerned about power usage and how well it will work with the standard 40 meg drive. If it isn't totally reliable, forget it... Seems like there'll be a big market for these, as purchasers of the Classic realize they need more horsepower to do any real work. (Me, I use a IIfx...) -Jon Dubman
