To clarify for all of you out there, since i was asked,
to identify which version of imagewriter II you have:
if the top cover (not the paper cover, or the clear cover)
that is the plastic top cover which is one half of the case,
is NOT connected to the legs, (that is - the legs are SEPARATE plastic)
You have the old and (strictly in my private opinion) Difficult to
take apart version.
if the legs are PART of the case, then it's the NEW and easier to take
apart version.
Apple didn't make a big deal of this cause It's a Service change only,
the two are identical to the end user (no software changes, etc)
but they are COMPLETELY different inside.
The new Imagwriter is a II/L as opposed to a II
Hope that helps all of you....
Remember..... I don't recommend going inside your imagewriter AT ALL
but if you do, for god's sake, wear a condom.
