In case anyone is interested, I just tried getting hold of Venture Technologies, who make the 50 MHz '040 card. The phone number listed for them in South Carolina has been disconnected in the last few days, and there is no forwarding number, so they seem to have gone to that great MacWorld Expo in the sky, at least for the moment.
