[comp.sys.mac.hardware] Mac IIfx and DeskWriter

sjy@dsl.eng.cam.ac.uk (Steve Young) (03/01/91)

I have just upgraded my Mac II to IIfx. When I now use my
Deskwriter via a serial link, it hangs at the end of a print
job. It works ok via Appletalk but I need this connection
for an Ethernet Appleshare link. Has anyone else encountered
this problem?

Sorry about the blank repost, I hit the wrong key... Anyway, if you will
call HP Distribution at 1-800-848-9283, they will send you a fix for
this problem.

You may need the IIfx Serial Switch cdev to set your fx to "compatible" mode.
You can get it from your apple dealer.
