>>I saw an ad that RELAX Technologies (415-471-6112) sells a kit for
converting half-height internal drives to external for $99 complete.
(I assume this is what I need for most 40 MB SCSI internals.)

Does anyone know if this is a good deal, or has anyone dealt with this
company?

I just got a external setup for an internal drive I had from Club Mac (714)
768-1490 for $99. Ground shipping is $4.50. The case is just fine, with a
quiet fan, SCSI cable, power cable, even formatting software. I have gotten
several drives from Club Mac, and always have been happy. THis is for the
half hight SCSI drives--the drive I am putting in is a Rodime, and yes, most
40 meg drives around now are half hight.
I am not familiar with Relax Technologies. But I thought you may be
interested in a place I do know.

I just bought a 210MB Internal Quantum and TEAC 150MB tape drive from
relax. The price was good, they were cooperative, but I have yet to
get it (ordered monday). When I get it, I'll tell you more of my
experiences.
