[comp.sys.mac.hardware] pigtail mini-din sources?

 Our electronic shop here has asked if I can locate
 a supply of mini din connectors for use in making up
 cables for the Macs in the college.  I've read that
 it's best to buy the molded mini-din plugs with pigtail
 leads since it's VERY hard to solder them reliably.
 Can anyone steer me to a good source for these other 
 than just buying the cables from Apple and cutting them
 in half?  We need both the AppleTalk configuration and
 the printer/modem as well.
