Hi. Does anyone know if the PostScript interface for the Canon color laser copier includes some sort of AppleTalk support, like a LocalTalk or EtherTalk interface? Any experience using it (the PostScript interface) out there? Sure hope Kinkos puts PostScript interfaces to their Canon color laser copiers in their stores sometime. Color copies are less than $3 each these days. Also, if anyone has setup CAP papif to send to a Canon color copier (assuming it DOES have a PostScript) interface, please let me know -- e.g. on SiliconGraphics, Sun or NeXT computers. Note that CAP papif on a NeXT will not properly spool to an AppleTalk LaserWriter spooling service of Novell Netware -- or at least it didn't work when I tried it last summer. (Novell Netware with AppleTalk support running on PCs has the capability of accepting pring jobs using AppleTalk PAP.) Gary

Very nice pretty pictures. > Also, if anyone has setup CAP papif to send to a Canon color > copier (assuming it DOES have a PostScript) interface, please let > me know -- e.g. on SiliconGraphics, Sun or NeXT computers. Yup, but this didn't work. I tried using tlw and it couldn't get a status out of the printer. They took the IPU away (it was a prototype) before I could finds the time and disk space to check the CAP sources. It's probably a simple fix. -- Andrew Raphael <raphael@research.canon.oz.au> Golden lads and girls all must, as chimney sweepers, come to dust.
