I have a vintage Mac II that I'm thinking about upgrading. I figure I have three options. First, I can buy the Apple upgrade to the IIfx. I know what I get when I'm done, and I'd like to know how these next two options compare to the real upgrade. The Dove 68030 32MHz card is selling for $530. Is this for real? What kind of performance increase can I expect to see with this option? A Daystar 68030 40MHZ card with 32k RAM cache sells for over $1,500. Is the only difference the cache memory, or is there something I don't know? Thanks to all who can reply. I don't want to spend the big bucks if I can get by for just over $500. Jon Pace
