[comp.sys.mac.hardware] Problems with 8*24 GC card

RAFI@BGUVM.BITNET (Rafi Brunner) (03/20/91)

I've installed a 8/24 GC card on my FX, and found out that by switching the
accelleration on (on the 8/24 cdev) some of the access to the floppy drives
is unabled. Besides encountering systems hangs while accessing the floppys
I also get crashes using Norton UTs on a floppy or using DiskTop DA.
Switching the acceleration of stops all the problems. There is no init conflict
since I've tried it with plain vanila system, and the problem repeated itself.
Any help from the net?
Thanks
Rafi

I have an fx with a similar configuration (8*24 GC, two floppies, GPIB card) and
have had no problems with the accelleration (or turning it off, for that
matter). This won't help you solve your problem, but hey, at least now you know
it can be done.
