[comp.sys.mac.hardware] SCSI Disk not found

Hi,

I have a Mac SE with 4 Mb ram, Multifinder 6.0.2, laserwriter, and scanner.

I just bought a Maxtor LXT-100S 96MB internal SCSI disk. I removed the
20Mb drive from my mac and replaced it with the 96 Mb disk. Now, my Mac
won't "see" the hard drive. I took the hard drive accross the stree to
a friends house where he has an IBM PC AT, and he hooked it up on his
machine and formatted it. His machine had no problem with it.

Why doesn't my mac see the drive? It is SCSI ID 0 just like my 20Mb drive,
and it doesn't work when I have my SCSI scanner plugged in or not plugged in.
It doesn't make a difference whether the driver is terminated or not or whether
the scanner is terminated or not. I've tried all permutation.

Every piece of the system works separately, but I can't get them to work
together.
