Whoops! Last post got truncated. I am looking for help at changing the SCSI ID# on what was an internal Quantum 40 meg drive. Any help would be appreciated. Bill Tsarones

Would someone describe in detail how to change the SCSI ID# of what started out as an Apple Quantum internal 40 meg hard drive with ID# 0. I have found 6 sets of jumper pins on the electronics board and am guessing that this is where it's done. I am in the process of turning this drive into an external. Thanks in advance. Bill Tsarones

On Quantum drives, you will find three little sets of jumper brackets, labelled A0, A1, and A2. Ao is the least significant bit, adding 1 to the SCSI ID, A1 adds 2, and A2 adds 4 to the SCSI ID when shorted. Make sure you have found the correct pins before you short any connections. At least this is what was on my Quantum 80 and 105. -Vic
