This is probably in some FAQ list somewhere, but the last hundred or so messages didn't mention one, so I'm gonna go ahead and ask: We've got a MacII connected via localtalk to a LaserWriter II NT. We've also got a 386 box we'd like to connect to the printer. I read the manual on the LaserWriter and saw the table with DIP switch settings for enabling the localtalk or the serial port. My problem is that the docs seem to say that I can enable either the localtalk or the serial port, but not both. Can this be true?? If it is, can I connect the mac and the 386 to a serial switch box, with the box going to the 386? I would prefer email answers since I don't read this group regularly, but all answers of any type are welcome! If you just want to point me to a FAQ list, that'd be great also.
