I'm trying to help someone buy a Mac. They want a portable, but I don't know what's good, what's not, and what's coming in the next few months. Does anyone have any positive recommendations for a portable Mac (or an Outbound) or whatever would be good for travel, for use in airplanes, hotel rooms and at clients. Applications will probably be just MacDraw, Excel and MS Word. No printer needed. It will be used mostly for writing and putting together presentations. I haven't been getting MacWeak, so I'm not up on the latest rumors of what some unnamed Japanese electronics giant is going to build for Apple. The timeframe is to buy within the next three months. I've heard that Apple wants to get serious about the laptop market this year. Any suggestions from the experts/users out there?
