[comp.sys.mac.hardware] Deskwriter. How good is it and how does it compare to Stylewriter?

mac_ftp@ccu1.aukuni.ac.nz (Andrew Knox) (04/04/91)

Does anyone know how good the HP deskwriter is? What does/doesn't it do well?
Are there any compatibility problems with major software, system 7, or truetype?
How does it compare to the stylewriter?

Thanks.

Read the article in May '91 MacUser. It benchmarks the new Apple printers
against existing ones including the Desk Writer.

HP solved the problem of smearing ink a few months ago by formulating a new
ink. Does the Stylewriter have a good ink that does not easily smear after
it has dried out?
