I am trying to add another scsi disk to my Mac Plus. I have one on it now (30 meg) and I would like to replace it with a bigger one. I have a second drive that I can format (90 meg CDC) them problem is that the mac will not recognize the disk at boot time. The old hard drive is a 30 meg Seagate. Someone suggested that a Mac plus does something strange at boot time to the scsi bus and that is why it does not recoginize the drive. In fact what does happen at boot time is that the Mac goes out onto the scsi bus but does not see the new drive. I know it goes out onto the bus since the drive does respond by doing a seek (could be a scsi reset?). I have tried initalizing the drive with several different programs including Silverlining to no avail. Any suggestions? Please reply to rob!abekas@pyramid.com or this account. Thanks in advance.
