I have recently acquired a Quantum 425S (425 meg) hard drive. I believe it is a SCSI drive. My friendly neighborhood Mac software vendor told me Silver Lining would allow me to format and partition the drive for use with my Mac, but all the program does is tell me there are no suitable devices connected to my SCSI port. The drive has two jumpers on it, and they are the same as the ones on the Quantum 80S. I have tried different positions (the drive came set to EP and A0, my 80S was EP and none) but to no avail. I despair. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do next? I'd really like to get the drive working, for on it hinges my planned purchase of a Mac IIsi, the drives ultimate destination, fate willing. Thanks in advance for all the help. - Faeiz hindi@eniac.seas.upenn.edu "There are only two types of ships -- submarines, and targets."
