Hello Netters, Have a few questions that I would like the sages of the Net to answer. In about three weeks, I hope to purchase the 25MHz Mobius 030 2-Page display system for my 1986 SE. My work is basically DTP and graphic design. I need very fast access and lots of memory (especially when I have scanned images in the designs). According to Mobius, the accelerator/vid-card can accommodate 4x1MB, 4x2MB and 4x4Mb simms. Would the SE w/the new board access 8MB or 16MB w/o the PMMU? Would I be a fool if I did not purchase the PMMU option and purchase 4x2MB simms instead? From what I understand about the SE and system 7 w/ virtual memory, it would not work. That is to say the SE could only access a maximum of 16MB (onboard RAM plus VM combination or just 16MB RAM) because the ROM is not 32-bit clean and it canTt be updated. Therefore, if I purchase the PMMU option for the Mobius 030, I would be wasting my money. Is this correct? Is the 2MB simms only for the LC or Si? The ones from an ad in MacUsers appears to have different fingers. Does anyone have experiences with 2MB simms on the Mobius 030 accelerator/vid-card?
