I'm (very) likely to buy a TEAC 150MB tape backup unit in the next week or two, but I'm concerned about the price of the media. At $29/tape it doesn't sound like I can afford to do a complete backup very often. Any suggestions for a good place to get tapes more cheaply? (E-mail, please, I'll summarize if I get enough info.) -- Dave Matuszek (dave@prc.unisys.com) I don't speak for my employer. -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------- | When I was young, my family bought a color TV. You can get TEAC-compatible cassettes from the following suppliers: Diskette Connection 1-800-654-4058 $15.95 Precision Data Products 1-800-258-0028 $16.18 Both are for Maxell CS-600XD. I've been using these in my Teac N50 150Mb drive for seven months, and have had zero problems. I do nightly backups via Retrospect, so they get used a _lot_. I _did_ have to wait a long time for my last order; apparently Maxell can't keep up with the demand. No connection with the above companies other than buying lots of media from them. -- Kevin A.
