Hello Netters, Thanks for all the replies to my question concerning the Mobius accelerator/video card and the PMMU option for an SE. Many people wrote that the SE can only address 4MB of memory because of its ROM. Mobius stated that you can put 4x2MB and 4x4MB simms in its boards but the SE will only address 4MB regardless. The rest of the RAM after 4MB is used as a RAMdisk. Mobius hopes that developers out there would write some codes to allow SE owners to address up to 16MB of RAM with their board. On virtural memory, Mobius said that the PMMU option will work with Virtual 2.0 and allow the SE to address up to 16MB of VM, 4MB RAM + 12MB VM, but they did not mention anything on System. 7.0. Pat Kuras, KURAS@AplleLink.Apple.com, wrote that Apple does not expect MacVM to work with third party boards. Since my work deals mainly with DTP and graphic design, I really need fast mother board memory in the area around 8MB or so. Plus I have been hurting for color...hmmm, maybe it's time to get rid of my SE and get an Si. (I really want a FX, but I don't believe in Santa ;-)) Any suggestion?
