[comp.sys.mac.hardware] RealTech PS Level 2 Printer - any info?

minnella@acsu.buffalo.edu (Todd V. Minnella) (05/06/91)

Hey! Has anyone out there seen the Software That Fits ad on page 270-271
in the June 1991 issue of MacUser? It describes a printer that seems too
good to be true:

	* Postscript Level 2 Support
	* Blazing Speed (due to PS Lvl 2 and a RISC processor)
	* 9 ppm Engine
	* 35 Resident Adobe Typefaces (the standard set, no doubt)
	* Auto-Emulation Switching, with HP LJ II emulation
	* 2 MB RAM, upgradable to 10 MB
	* SCSI Hard Drive Support
	* Intelligent Paper Handling (Paper Tray switching on the fly!)
	--- and ---
	* A list price of $1995! (Yes, $1995)

Trade-ins are accepted, although it seems that selling your printer on the
open market would make more sense...

Is this for real? I've been looking around for an inexpensive fast Laser
Printer for a shop I do some consulting for. This printer seems to meet
or exceed my wildest expectations...

Anyone know anything about this printer? Was it shown at MacWorld SF
or Toronto?
