I was wondering if anyone has had any problems with their 40MB HD (sony) on an SE/30. I've had my machine for about 8 months. My wife and I are not heavy users yet (i.e. school papers, letters, occasional HC stacks). Then, one day, it would not boot off the HD and was unrecognizable. Norton Utils was unsuccessful in repairing (used DiskDoctor). It gave numerous errors. I'm sure that if I could remember them it would be of help, but I can't. The only way I could fix the problem was to use the HD setup on the Apple systems disk. It has been working fine for about 3 days. Has anyone had a similar problem? Should I take it to a repair facility? (technically it isn't broken anymore) What is the likelyhood of another disk failure?
