I want to connect an old 5.25" Apple II+ floppy drive, the kind that uses a RIBBON CABLE, to a Mac LC with an Apple IIe emulator card. As I understand it, the Apple IIe emulator card has a connector for a 5.25" Apple IIe floppy drive. This kind of drive does not use a ribbon cable. I don't know what cable it does use. Do I have to buy a new drive? Or can I use a simple adaptor plug to convert from ribbon cable to the whatever-it-is connector on the IIe card? If the latter, where can I buy it and what do I ask for? I'm sure this problem must have come up before, when people wanted to connect II+ floppy drives to IIe computers. I expect the same solutions would apply here. What were those solutions? E-mail preferred, since probably this is not of general interest. But it's important to me.... a T d H v A a N n K c S e -- Dave Matuszek (dave@prc.unisys.com) I don't speak for my employer. --
