The printer port of my 512K Mac has not been working for a long time. Someone suggested me to buy the book "Macintosh Repair and Upgrade Secrets" by Larry Pina. So I bought it and cannot find anything that is helpful. I have no intention to buy a new Mac nor to buy a new mother board. ( I wonder if such board still exists. ) Would someone give me any information that would solve my problem, e.g. which chip to replace and how to order such chip, etc? ( The reason that I do not want to buy a new Mac is my 512K Mac has been upgraded by a third party company to have the power of a Mac+ and 2.5 MB RAM. I won't get too much money back if I sell it. Someone suggested me to buy a Classic. But if I really really want to buy a new Mac, I would consider to buy something in the Mac II series because I can have large color monitor, large horse power but I cannot afford one right now. That's why I want to repair my old Mac instead of buying a new one.) Jesse
