Anyone out there know anything about digitizers??? We are an image analysis facility and we would like to upgrade our digitizing capabilities ASAP but the 3 companies I have contacted...my big leads...(Truvel, GBA Scanin Subsystem, and Microtek) will not allow us to demo their products (ie, will not send us one so that we may play with it before purchasing) nor will they allow us to purchase their equipment under a -money back if returned within x days if not satisfied- agreement. This strikes me as if they do not stand behind their products. The ads were impressive enough but then again...advertizing always is. Anyone had any experience using these companies and/or their digitizers? So....what's out there? What are people using for high quality, high rez image acquisition? Flat bed scanners will not satisfy our requirements as the resolution is fixed (non-zoomable) and the resolution of video cameras is not high enough. I think that RGB is just about a must but I would like to hear about anything any of you may have experience with.
