Looking for help - - for VMS screen-oriented editors using non-DEC glass
terminals. Recently saw reference to a VINE (sub-Emacs) - any further
information out there? Or any other references? Have concluded EDT cannot
be used in screen mode with non-DEC picture tubes. Many thanks.
Best

The ever-popular Vi screen editor has been running on several VAX/VMS machines at Harvard University for about two years. It compiles with VAX-11 C. Contact Lewis Law at (617) 495-2627 for information on availability. I believe Lew gets mail via decvax!wivax!linus!wjh12!u:law

BBN has a screen-oriented editor called PEN which is designed to
be as terminal independent as possible. All information about
terminal features is kept outside the program in human-readable
files and it is easy to add support for new terminals. The
current version runs under UNIX or VMS. As distributed, there
is support for vt100, vt52, tek4025, gigi and quite a few others that
I don't remember offhand. For further info including price and what
