A number of users at our site are becoming interested in connecting Macintoshes of various flavors to the local TCP/IP network here, with thin ethernet as the medium of choice. We'll probably end up looking into whatever Mac TCP (and particularly NFS) packages we find out about, which I suppose will generally be able to talk to more than one vendor's ethernet interface card (?) Unless I'm wrong in the above assumption, we'll probably end up having to choose between one of several types of ethernet interfaces. Any recommendations and/or horror stories about particular cards or interfacing techniques, for older Macs as well as the SE, would be greatly appreciated. Please respond via email and I will summarize to the net. Thanks in advance.
