[comp.sys.mac.hardware] Apple II and Mac software on one machine?

danielg@med.unc.edu (Daniel Gene Sinclair) (05/20/91)

Uh, please excuse my ignorance as I come for help! I have a friend who
desires to run mac business software at home. No problem. However, he
has a bunch of educational stuff for home schooling (teaching your kids at
home instead of the public school) that he calls "Apple software." He
says that this software can't be run on any of the current macs except the
*LE*.

The LE? What the heck is that? Does he have a real or imagined problem?
I told him that I didn't know much about macs, but I had some contacts
(that's you ;-). Can I help him? Is an LE some sort of glorified LC?
Should he be getting an LC with some sort of Apple II add in board? Man,
I am totally in the dark about this one!

E-mail me please. Much thanks in advance.
