I removed the 3 internal terminating resistors from an Ehman 40 recently because I was attempting to put the drive in the middle of a SCSI chain. I was able to get this to work, but when I put the terminating resistors back in I was unable to use the drive on the MacPlus that its usually used with, but the drive worked fine on the IIsi. I looked at another Ehman drive that we have in the lab and noticed that one of the 3 resistors was different in having some numbers on the top. When I rearranged the resistors in the problem drive so that the "different" resistor was in the same position as it is on the other drive the problem disappeared. Are all 3 of the resistors the same or is one really different? What's the significance of the order? Thanks for your help. Keith Conover ireland@ac.dal.ca

All three should be the same. The order makes no difference. Perhaps
you didn't have a good connection on one of the terminators and when
you re-arranged them you corrected the problem.
