[comp.sys.mac.hardware] RODIME Drive Problem

charlie@bongo.cc.utexas.edu (charlie blake) (05/31/91)

One of our drives for our classroom network, a RODIME 100, is messed up.
We were having problems, so one of the people reformatted it with Silverlining.
It didn't correct the problem. We cannot load any of our programs on it.

Did reformatting it with Silverlining mess it up?
School starts in five days and we need that drive to work.
We have run Norton on it and Summ II. Neither found any problems.
What is the deal?

Thanks
Charlie

It might have. I tried to format a rodime drive with SL 5.28 a while
ago and had probelms with the drive. After calling LaCie and asking
a lot of questions (they wouldn't admit right away) they told me that
indeed SL might (actually does) have problems with Rodime drives because
those drives do not support tags.
