Well, I finally managed to get my hands on Sys 7.0 (it's not that easy in Australia, the 'official' release is still weeks away!), and I have come across a very wierd hapenning on my Mac II: I tried to install System 7.0 from the 800K floppy set, when the installer tried to eject the first disk the disk wouldn't come all the way out but got stuck, just poking out a little bit. When I tried to grab it it fell back into the drive. The only way I could eject it was to turn off the computer and poke a pin in the emergency eject hole! This amazingly annoying problem occurs when I run anything > 6.0.7 I have now discovered much to my chargrin. I installed 7.0 on a second drive, and when running it no disk ejects properly from the internal floppy drive, switch to 6.0.5 and the very same disks work OK!??!@! Amazing but true! I had the internal drive replaced about 6 months ag by an authorized dealer, I'm going to check with him soon. Anyone got any ideas?
