Sorry to post this to so many groups, but I wasn't sure where to place it, and I'm really stuck (along with NuvoTech Technical Support). I'm running a Mac Classic with system 6.0.7, MacTCP 1.0.2 or 1.0.1 (either one fails), NuvoLink SC 1.3.1, and Ethertalk 1.2.2 (phase I). No inits of any consequence. So here's the story: If I assign manually from MacTCP, all is well, and BYU Telnet 2.3.4 comes up ok. If I assign dynamically, The mouse hangs on the opening screen of telnet. I've tried the interface on a MacSE also, and it fails the same way. I can see zones, and print to printers, etc. I have checked and rechecked the ethernet number as it appears in the NuvoLink SC Setup application, and the entry is correct in the tables. Other macs and PCs (one mac with an Asante card) can rarp fine on that segment, so rarpd servers are answering the requests. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'd really appreciate any help anyone could give. Is anyone out there experiencing the same problem? Or has anyone gotten this type of setup to work with MacTCP assigning dynamically? Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks, Vaughan -- VaughAn Turner Internet: vturner@nmsu.edu Networking/Workstation Support Box 30001, Dept. 3AT Computer Center, Networking/WSC Las Cruces, New Mexico New Mexico State University 88003-0001 Bitnet: vturner@nmsu UUCP: ucbvax!nmsu.edu!vturner Work: (505) 646-4244 FAX: (505) 646-5278 Home: (505) 522-3653 Home Address: 1115 Larry Drive Las Cruces, New Mexico 88001-5457 "...the first rule of engineering [is] to work with Earth's natural forces, never against them."
