In the July issue of MacWorld, the MacBulletin column says that the new 21 inch color monitors from Apple have pissed off third party vendors like Radius and E-machines because of their high quality and (gasp!) low price. It also says that because of this these monitors will *not* be available in the US, only overseas. Can this be true? Surely it is not Apple's responsibility to insure that third party vendors stay in business -- let me make different or better products and everyone will benefit. Surely those same third party vendors didn't mind taking money out of Apple's pocket by selling large screen displays of the monochrome variety for far less than Apple did, while maintaining a higher quality level! -- |-----------------------------|-----------------------------------------------| | Doug Siebert | "All opinions expressed herein are obviously | | | superior to yours, otherwise you wouldn't | | dsiebert@icaen.uiowa.edu | need to be reading this, now would you?" :-) | |-----------------------------|-----------------------------------------------|
