Hi. I'm trying to figure out how to connect a hand held scanner that uses the SCSI port to the SCSI port on my Mac SE/30. The catch? The SCSI port is already occupied by my GCC PLP II printer. The PLP II is internally terminated, making it the last device that can be chained to the SCSI port (unless I do surgery on the PLP II, which I'm unwilling to do). I read in MacWorld that the Thunderscan 400 scanner is externally terminated. Does that mean that I can EASILY remove the termination on the scanner and hook the PLP II to the scanner port? Does anyone have the Thunderscan 400 or have experience using it that can give me the definitive word on whether I can do this? Any help will be appreciated. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "My advice is to ask for someone else's advice."
