Does the IIsi need an expansion card to use
the Radius TPD?

Yes, the IIsi does need an expansion card - the Radius TPD-IIsi Interface.
This is basically a monochrome interface which is required to connect the
TPD/19 or TPD/21 to a Mac IIsi (since the built-in video won't do a display
larger than a full-page size). However, the interface kit includes a IIsi
Direct Slot Adapter (no extra charge), which also contains a socket for a
68882 math co-processor. The TPD-IIsi Interface kit retails for $595, and
gives you one-bit per pixel (monochome).

Gray scale can be achieved by using the GS/C Interface which is a NuBus
board and therefore requires a IIsi NuBus Adapter. The GS/C interface
retails for $995.
