MacWorld has an article on accelerators, however I don't trust it for two reasons. 1- I think some of the companies listed make accelerators for the plus where the MacWorld table lists none. And 2- The speed ratings for the Math have an entry for a Dove with no coprocessor. There are more reasons not to trust MacWorld but I won't take up your time. Ideal setup: For the price conscious... 25 MHz 68030 Full page display. (with perhaps a few bits grey scale) I currently own 4 M of 70 ns memory. and 4x 256 of original macplus memory One worry I have is why MacWorld rates some 25MHz 030s as slower than some of the 16MHz. In my dreams... My accelerated macplus runs at a speed on par with the IIci, and I get use of both my original screen and my add-on full page (Almost as good a set up as a 2-page) Is it possible to upgrade in stages? I am currently calling vendors, should anyone have answers to the above, post or email thanks -Ted A final note MacWorld reccomends you trash your plus, and buy a new Mac. It seems to me one could do better putting ~$1000 (mail order prices) into the accelerator, and full page. (Especially if you get to use both the old screen and the new).
