Eventually, I would like to update my SE/30 to 8-bit color. Unfortunately, I don't have the $700-800 for a graphics card and monitor. My question is, could I install an 8-bit graphics card and use grey-scale on the built-in monitor? If so, could I leave the built-in video card where it is or would I have to replace it with the new card? My preferred situation would be to leave both cards in the mac and switch between cards using the Monitors control panel. Then, when I get a color monitor, it would just be a matter of hooking it up. - Jim
