About two weeks ago I posted asking about removing a Sony 40 from my SE/30 and putting it in an external (Emac) case. I had problems with random errors and bad sectors. It turns out that it can be done. In my case, the root of all my trouble was my power supply. It was putting out .2 V less that is was supposed to be. This caused unreliability. It works fine now. My advice is to make sure that you get a case that you KNOW has a working mounting bracket and power supply. You can save yourself alot of time and headache. Oh, and don't use any formatting software other than Apple's or SilverLining. -Jamie -- James W.
